Purchasing Woodwork Jim Syvertsen

Terms and Conditions

All sales are considered final.

I accept all payment methods - PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Credit Card, Apple Pay, Check or Bank Transfer. Payment type is always customer choice, but offered the option, I'll always accept a check or bank transfer. I do NOT accept cryptocurrency.

Shipping is flat rate ($24.95 for small pieces/$39.95 for large) within CONUS. If you intend to purchase multiple items, particularly miniatures, and let me know in advance, I will combine shipping fees. Please note, I do not purchase shipping insurance as I consider it a poor investment. Rather, I pack very securely. Should you wish to purchase shipping insurance, please let me know. If purchasing multiple pieces, I reserve the right to assess a reasonable handling charge depending on the time required to prepare for shipment and the total cost of shipping and insurance (if requested). Shipping to Alaska/HI and internationally will be based on actual shipping/insurance (if requested) costs, minus the applicable aforementioned flat rate fees (as it is added automatically when purchasing) and billed separately. If you would like a shipping quote prior to purchasing, please provide your shipping address and I'd be happy to provide an estimate. I do not discount on woodwork purchases.

Please note that some bases, like the moose antler beam base used to display several different small/miniature hollow forms, is (as noted) not included. Should you want me to make a custom pedestal, I'd be happy to offer options, an estimate and photos. Should you wish to build a collection, I make custom moose antler beam and Aussie Burl and African Blackwood display pedestals for purchase. Prices will vary, primarily based on size and time involved. I have PLENTY of options available from small/tiny caps specifically prepped and set aside for years for making custom pedestals.

Generally, my method of shipping internationally will be via USPS. Shipping times are advertised as 6-10 days via Priority Mail. I do understand that most foreign nations tax foreign purchases, in some cases, quite unreasonably. Customers frequently inquire as to whether I can declare a purchase as a gift or minimize the value. Unfortunately, I must decline as making a declaration other than the actual purchase price on a customs declaration would jeopardize me/my business. I cannot take that risk with a federal agency. I do hope you understand.

Finials are delicate. I advise against dusting them with a dust cloth or duster. Rather, use a small can of air, like that used to clean electronics, to GENTLY blow any dust off the finial, first making certain it is securely in place. They will not break if properly handled. Please be gentle and you'll have no issues. The burl itself may be gently dusted with a soft cloth (I use a dust cloth).

Should you purchase a work from me and it is damaged at any point (finials included), I will gladly provide a repair estimate and do my best to restore the work to its original, as-purchased condition.
